Course Description

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic RiderCourse2 (BRC2) is designed for experienced riders that want to earn their motorcycle (M) license endorsement. To sign up, you must be 14 years or older and be skilled and proficient in riding your motorcycle. This is not a beginner class and how to operate, shift, maneuver a motorcycle will not be taught.

The course curriculum is focused on teaching the core motorcycle skills and knowledge needed to safely operate a motorcycle.

The course is comprised of a 4 hour self-paced eCourse done online at home followed by 6 hours of on-motorcycle riding training over 1 day led by an MSF certified RiderCoach.

Your on-motorcycle training will take place on one of our MSF approved riding ranges.

Each range class is limited to 8 or less students. When you register for this course, you will be scheduling your range sessions.

YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN MOTORCYCLE and all your proper riding gear. A DOT approved helmet may be provided if you don’t have one. You must provide your current registration, proof of insurance and pass a motorcycle T-CLOCS (safety) inspection. Please contact us if you have questions or any doubt.

Range exercises are similar to our Basic RiderCourse (BRC). Speeds will be higher and is designed for more experienced riders that want to work on improving their safety and riding skills. Your RiderCoach will provide constructive feedback for you to improve at your own pace.

Pre-requisites:

  • Able to ride a motorcycle.

  • Bring your own currently registered and currently insured motorcycle that will pass a T-CLOCS safety inspection.

  • Age 14 or older and possess either a valid driver's license or learner's permit.

Bring the following:

  • A valid driver’s license or permit or state ID

  • Bring your own currently registered and currently insured motorcycle that will pass a T-CLOCS safety inspection.

  • Proof of current registration and current insurance for the motorcycle.

  • Snacks. Water is provided.

  • Your riding gear. Helmets are provided.

  • If you are younger than 18 years old. Your PARENT or GUARDIAN has to be present on Day 1 to sign the waiver IN PERSON. Questions, we are happy to assist.

What you MUST bring and wear (gear):

  • A helmet is required to ride. Must be¾or a full face either DOT or Snell approved (we provide helmets if you don’t have one)

  • Eye protection (eye glasses, sun glasses, googles, helmet visor)

  • Full-finger sturdy gloves. (no half gloves, no holes)

  • Long sleeve shirt or jacket that covers all the way to your wrists (no rips or holes)

  • Jeans or heavy duty pants that cover to your ankles while seated. (no tights, yoga pants, sweat pants) (no rips, no holes)

  • Sturdy OVER THE ANKLE boots or shoes. Over the ankle hiking boots are great. (no canvas, Vans, running shoes)

Course Refund and Rescheduling Policies:

Front Range Riding School does not offer refunds. All course tuition fees are non-refundable.

Rescheduling requests will be made on an available space basis.

Our current rescheduling fee is $225 for the Basic RiderCourse (BRC).

Course rescheduling requests with 7 days notice or more will be accommodated for free at no charge.

Course rescheduling 4 to 6 days before scheduled class start date will incur the rescheduling fee. Let us know early.

Rescheduling requests with 3 days or less notice will forfeit your entire tuition fees.

Meeting any of the following conditions, will result in forfeiting your entire tuition fee:

If you do not arrive on time to a scheduled class with all your required gear (Please be on time)

If you do not show up at all to a scheduled class

If you leave or are asked to leave by your instructor for any reason

If you do not or are unable to meet any of the pre-requisite or course requirements.

With an instructor recommendation, students who fail the course may come back to retake part or all of the course for a reduced fee. Fee structure is handled on a case by case basis.
